It was getting harder and harder to maintain balance on that line he walked. Had always walked. As the days went by, Star recognized the sick feeling in his stomach for what it was – the sure knowledge that it wasn’t going to be long before he lost his footing.
When he’d started the path, it hadn’t mattered. But as it took more and more effort to keep his eyes off the pink and gyrating object of his attention there was a new truth he couldn’t deny. When he fell, he wasn’t going down alone… and that did matter. Very much.
