Lee drew this picture for me when I was having a really bad month. Really bad.

Just my Lana trying to make her Lance feel....better just sounds childish, but let's just leave it at she's giving him what she can and hopes he'll take it. Not supposed to be something really intricate or anything, just going with the feeling."

February, a few years later, Lee colored it and wrote this for it too...
It wasn't supposed to be this way.
Both of them knew she wasn't exactly exactly skilled or even comfortable giving....well, comfort.
But slender, strong arms slid about his shoulders and she gave. The girl who never gave of herself, not anything that truly mattered, was giving him things he couldn't ask for. Wouldn't ask for.
It wasn't supposed be this way- he was the one who saw the hurt, who eased it, gentled the anger, took it into himself to swallow it down.
She didn't do that for him.
It was supposed to be simple between them- and suddenly it was everything but.
